Who is qualified?

This offer has limited capacity. Because of this, there are certain requirements you must meet in order to be eligible: 

• You are 18 years old or older.
  You have completed levels A1-A2 and pass the placement test (all students will need to take a placement test)
• You are living in Norway and want to improve your Norwegian.
• You are not currently participating in free Norwegian training sponsored by the Norwegian government (Introduction program, etc.).

NB! You cannot participate in several free courses on behalf of IMDi with other private providers at the same time.

How do I apply?

• Read about and register your interest for the course below.
  
• Wait for an invitation to take a placement test at Alfaskolen or online. – Placement tests are mandatory before starting a free course!
  • Please note that books are not included in the offer.

• You cannot participate in several free courses on behalf of IMDi with other private providers at the same time.

• Mandatory attendance: If you do not attend the first sessions of the course, your spot on the course will be given to another participant without warning.

• If you have taken a spot on a free course in 2025 but did not attend the course or give the administration a notice of withdrawal, you will be barred from attending our free courses for 2026 and 2027.
