One-Year Program's Curriculum

The course includes the three levels of Norwegian courses taught at Alfaskolen, a social study course and an additional grammar course. Social studies focus on Norwegian culture, society, history, mentality, and tradition. The study plan is built on the basis of "Læreplan i norsk og samfunnsfag for voksne innvandrere", the official curriculum for teaching the Norwegian language as a foreign language and community studies for adult immigrants program developed by Kompetanse Norge. The material covered in the program equates to learning levels A1, A2, B1, and B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
