Intensive Plus courses are offered at levels A1, A2, B1 and B2. On these courses, participants within a short period of time, learn words and phrases, grammar and pronunciation. The course is intensive - meaning that one must calculate enough time for both to work on homework and new vocabulary every day. The courses are based on group work, individual assignments, discussions, lectures and homework.

About the course

Attending courses every day from Monday to Thursday allows students to gradually build up a greater knowledge of the Norwegian language by working regularly with various texts, using new vocabulary in everyday life, and by working with grammatical structures, all with guidance from a professional and qualified teacher.

The purpose of learning Norwegian every day is to give students the opportunity to practice the Norwegian language and feel secure when they use the language outside the school.

Classes are held in Norwegian from the beginning, and therefore no English language skills are required. In this way, you are forced to use the language from day one and you will see a faster progression.

Course level

The course offered studies at level A1 based on language levels as described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The sessions are held daily from Monday to Thursday. The intensive course consists of 100 teaching hours, divided into 20 sessions. Each session consists of 5 hours and the course goes on for about 5 weeks per level. Each lesson hour is 45 minutes.

For self study, students are split up into small groups to work independently with various tasks such as grammar, texts, etc. Project work focuses on working on various projects in small groups, in order to improve everyday Norwegian.
