This course continues from Intensive A1-1 and focuses on Chapters 6 to 10 in the book "På Vei". Intensive A1-2 is for those who have basic knowledge of Norwegian or wish to further extend their knowledge of Norwegian. You will learn to express yourself in the present and past tense. We repeat and reinforce grammar and extend your vocabulary.

About the course

The course includes individual and group work, discussions, listening exercises, and homework. The course focuses on Chapters 6 to 10 of the book "På Vei" (2012 edition). Participants of this course begin studies at level A1-A2 based on language levels as described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Sessions are taught in Norwegian from day 1, so no English knowledge is required. This means that using the language is a must from day 1, which leads to a faster progression.

After completing the course, you will be able to describe simple activities relating to the past and present, talk about your and others' activities and have simple discussions using basic reasoning (therefore, because). You will be able to order tickets, give and understand directions, and will have increased knowledge of Norwegian geography and activities.

Completing the course

The course meets four days a week, Mondays to Thursdays, and lasts for three weeks. Each course day consists of 3 lessons of 45 minutes. The total number of lessons is 12 per week and 36 lessons for the entire course, to complete one level.

Course materials

Use of textbooks and other teaching aids on levels A1-A2 (På vei), B1 (Stein på Stein) and B2 (Her på Berget) is mandatory. Books are not included in the price and can be purchased at our school or at most bookstores. Materials other than the text and workbooks will be used, but these will be provided by the teacher. You will be given homework based on the text and workbook that will be used on the course.

Course certificate

At the end of the course, if you completed 80% or more of the sessions and paid the course fee, you will receive an official digital course certificate.
